Are you up for trying a bit of mystery writing? Think about what readers expect from this genre. You need to start with an engaging opening that leads up to the mystery. This key event can include a death, a disappearance of a person or item, or the appearance of something unexplained and unexpected.
Follow the mysterious occurrence with scenes that continue to develop your characters. You need to let readers know who will be solving the mystery. Add in clues and a couple of false leads to keep the readers guessing the conclusion.
For today's challenge, I am giving you the setting for your mystery in the picture above. Your mystery has to include a shoreline as part of the story.
Have fun writing! Share your work with someone.
